Victorian State Cricketers get fitted in new TF3D-PRO Custom Helmets
MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA: The latest Masuri TrueFit 3D-PRO helmets have been rolled out for Victorian state contracted players, both Men and Women, for the 2023/24 domestic season in Australia.
On the back of a successful digital scanning and helmet fitting session during the pre-season, the Victorian state players have been fitted into their new custom Masuri helmets, each one being created with 3D-printed lattice pads to the exact shape of players’ individual heads.
In the last Victorian Men’s Sheffield Shield match against South Australia before the BBL season began, all 11 players chose to use the TrueFit 3D-PRO helmets, including wicket keeper Sam Harper who blazed an incredible 151 (104) in the first innings.
A recent fitting session for the Women’s squad has also ensured that all players are fitted and ready for their WNCL match against NSW next week.
Cricket Victoria General Manager – Cricket Performance Graham Manou said the technology was an important asset for players.
“The safety of our players is paramount and whatever we can do to improve safety, reduce risk and deliver best practice solutions for our squads is something we’ll pursue,” Manou said.
“We’re really impressed with the technology that Masuri has brought to the table and we’re pleased to partner with them in a program to get these helmets on to the heads of our players. Ultimately a properly fitted helmet that is effectively purpose-built for the individual is a great step forward.”
